Child Price: How the Half Ticket Works for Ages 6-12

For a family, the final bill depends less on how many of you there are than on how old everyone is. Two adults with two school-age children pay far less than four adults would. The Bodrum boat trip child price follows one rule: under 6 travels free, ages 6-12 pay half.

Three numbers: 1,500, 750 and zero

An adult ticket is 1,500 TL per person. A child between 6 and 12 pays exactly half of that, 750 TL. Children under 6 pay nothing. From the twelfth birthday the adult rate applies. There is no third tier, no weekday surcharge and no seasonal increase, so the Bodrum boat trip child price is always one of these three figures.

What four different families pay

Some concrete totals:

  • 2 adults + one 4-year-old: 3,000 TL
  • 2 adults + one 9-year-old: 3,750 TL
  • 2 adults + children aged 7 and 11: 4,500 TL
  • 3 adults + children aged 5 and 10: 5,250 TL

If your party is larger, the way the total is built up is set out in our breakdown for bigger bookings.

What the 750 TL covers

Half the fare does not mean half the day. Children get the same lunch as everyone else: chicken, pasta and salad, served at Ada Bogazi around 13.00 and included in the price. Hotel transfer from Gumbet, Bitez and Ortakent is included as well, with no extra charge. Life jackets and safety equipment are on board for every age. Drinks are the one item left out: the deck bar sells soft and alcoholic drinks separately, and that applies to children too. Towels are not provided, so pack one for each child.

Ages, confirmation and payment

When you book, simply give the year of birth for each child; we calculate the total and confirm it in writing. The exact conditions of the free age band are explained in the guide written for families with babies. The boat carries 100 guests, so busy weeks fill up early, and cancellations are refundable up to three days before the tour date.

When a discount is not the point

Departure is at 10.30 from Gumbet harbour and we are back at the same pier at 17.00, with the DJ lifting the tempo after lunch. If your child dislikes loud music, a lower fare will not make up for it. For an adults-only plan, the day we describe for child-free groups is a closer match.
