6 Points to Check Before You Trust a Boat Tour Campaign

Walk around Gümbet in summer and you will pass one board after another: discounts, package prices, special-day offers. A Bodrum boat tour campaign is neither good nor bad on its own. What decides it is whether you read the detail behind the number. These are the mistakes guests make most often, with a straight answer to each.

Mistake 1: Not asking what the price covers

The usual slip is to see a low figure and never discuss the contents. With us, 1,500 TL per person includes lunch: chicken, pasta and salad, served at Ada Boğazı at around 13:00. Drinks are not included and are paid separately at the deck bar. There is no breakfast either, because the boat casts off at 10:30 rather than early morning.

Mistake 2: Assuming the departure point and the route

Many people simply assume the boat leaves from the marina. We depart from Gümbet harbour and come back to the same pier at 17:00. The route is fixed: Dalgıç Bay, Ada Boğazı, Aşıklar Bay and Akvaryum Bay, with a 30-40 minute stop at each one. Bodrum also has lovely spots such as Karaada or Bağla, but they are not part of our programme. If you want to picture the day first, our stop-by-stop schedule page makes it easy.

Mistake 3: Ignoring transfers and small items

Hotel pick-up from Gümbet, Bitez and Ortakent is part of the price, with nothing extra to pay. Your pick-up time depends on where your hotel sits and is confirmed when your booking is approved. Towels are not provided, so bring your own. Child pricing works the same whatever the offer says: free for ages 0-6, half ticket for 6-12. Planning something to celebrate on deck? Our notes for guests arranging a surprise keep expectations realistic.

Mistake 4: Leaving payment and cancellation until last

Agreeing a reduced figure and never asking how to pay leads to awkward moments at the pier. Card, bank transfer and the other options all work; the details sit in our comparison of the payment routes. If paying on the spot appeals to you, read how settling up at the pier works. Refunds follow one rule: you may cancel up to 3 days before the tour date.

A short checklist

  • Is lunch included and are drinks separate?
  • Where does the boat leave from, and when?
  • Which bays, and how long is each stop?
  • Is transfer covered, and for which areas?
  • How many days before can you cancel?

Any offer that answers those five clearly is one you can trust. One honest note to close: the deck holds 100 people, a DJ plays, and the tempo climbs after lunch. If you are after a quiet day at sea, no discount makes this the right trip. If it does suit you, be at the pier around 10:15 and message us on WhatsApp at +90 536 306 6359.
