Day-trip prices in Bodrum look almost identical in the listings, yet what they cover differs a great deal. If you are hunting for an affordable Bodrum boat trip, the real question is not how small the number is but what that number pays for. Answer the questions below in order and the right option becomes obvious.
Is lunch part of the price, or paid later?
Start here. Our ticket is 1,500 TL per person and lunch is included: chicken, pasta and salad served around 13:00 while we are moored at Ada Boğazı. Drinks are not included; alcoholic and soft drinks alike are bought separately at the deck bar. On a trip where food is charged on board, the end-of-day total usually climbs, so compare final spend rather than the headline price. How will you get to the pier?
Transfers are the cost most people forget. If your hotel is in Gümbet, Bitez or Ortakent, the pick-up is already in the fare and nothing extra is charged. Departure is from Gümbet Harbour at 10:30 and we are back at the same pier at 17:00, about six and a half hours later. Staying elsewhere in Bodrum means budgeting for a taxi.
How lively do you want the day to be?
This is where one Bodrum daily boat tour differs most from the next. Music stays at background level through the morning; after lunch the DJ lifts the tempo and the dance animations begin. Does the route really include the bays you were promised?
Not every bay named in an advert is actually on the itinerary. Ours has four stops in a fixed order:
- Dalgıç Bay — first swim stop
- Ada Boğazı — lunch and the start of the DJ set
- Aşıklar Bay — swimming and photos
- Akvaryum Bay — final stop, good for snorkelling
Each stop lasts 30 to 40 minutes. Bodrum has other lovely spots, Orak Island among them, and we covered that area separately, but our daily programme visits the four bays listed above.
Do the practical details suit your group?
Capacity is 100 guests; children aged 0-6 travel free and 6-12 pay half. There are toilets, a shower and a changing cabin on board, along with life jackets and insurance. Towels are not provided, so bring your own. Pets are not accepted and smoking is limited to marked areas. You can pay by card or bank transfer, and cancellation is possible up to three days before the tour date.
