A well-packed bag doubles the comfort of a Bodrum day boat trip. The good news: the list is short. The boat takes care of lunch and drinks are served at the on-board bar — all that is left to you are the personal bits. Towels are not provided, so bring your own.
What must go in the bag
- Sunscreen (SPF 50): the sea reflects light, so the sun hits harder than on land. Reapply every two hours.
- Hat and sunglasses: there is always shade on deck, but the best spots are in the open.
- Towel and swimsuit: arrive wearing the swimsuit, keep the towel on top.
- Spare t-shirt / sarong: for after swimming and the evening breeze.
- Waterproof phone pouch: bay photos plus peace of mind.
- Snorkel set: makes all the difference in clear bays.
- Water shoes: protect your feet on pebbly entries.
- Some cash: practical for extras.
- Light cardigan: the wind cools down after sunset.
- Power bank: you will be filming all day, trust us.
What you can leave at the hotel
A bulky beach umbrella, a speaker (the boat has a DJ!), valuable jewellery and thick books — you will need none of them. On a boat trip, less luggage means more comfort. Bag ready? The only thing missing is a date: message us on WhatsApp and your spot on the party boat is set.
We cover where this sits in the day in our guide to the programme, and the official version of the programme is on the official programme page.
