Where a boat actually stops is what shapes the whole day. The Gümbet bays tour is built around four anchorages: Diver's Bay, Ada Bogazi, Asiklar Bay and Aquarium Bay. The order never changes, so you can picture your day before you step on board.
How the day is structured
The boat leaves Gümbet Harbour at 10:30 and ties up at the same pier at 17:00, which makes roughly six and a half hours on the water. Each bay gets a stop of 30 to 40 minutes, enough for a proper swim and time to dry off on deck. If your hotel is in Gümbet, Bitez or Ortakent, the transfer to the pier is part of the price and costs nothing extra. A closer look at the timings is in our hour-by-hour breakdown of the full day.
Four stops, four reasons
- Diver's Bay — the first swim of the day, taken while everyone is still settling in and the deck is calm.
- Ada Bogazi — the lunch stop. Around 13:00 a plate of chicken, pasta and salad is served, and the DJ set begins here.
- Asiklar Bay — swimming and photos. The shoreline and the colour of the water make this the most photographed stop.
- Aquarium Bay — the final break, and the best moment of the day to put on a snorkel and look down.
What the ticket covers
The price is 1,500 TL per person. Lunch and the hotel shuttle are included in it. Drinks are not: everything alcoholic or soft is bought separately at the bar on deck. Towels are not provided, so bring your own. Children aged 0-6 travel free and 6-12 pay half. There is a toilet, a shower and a changing cabin on board, along with life jackets, safety equipment and insurance. Pets are not allowed; smoking is permitted in the designated areas.
Bays that are not on this route
Other names come up often along the Bodrum coast, such as Bagla, Karaincir, Kargi or Karaada. Those belong to different itineraries; our boat visits the four bays listed above. If quieter corners interest you, have a look at the piece we wrote on the lesser-known coves. And to be honest about it: if you want a silent day at sea, a deck that holds up to 100 guests and picks up tempo after lunch is probably not your tour.
